Work.

2005 - 2011

Media Director at Hope City Church

I was asked to pioneer a new media department within the organisation of Hope City Church. My job role entailed leading the development of the use of media for internal and external marketing purposes, growing and training a volunteer workforce and to provide creative media to use at any of our events. I also directed, produced and edited a TV series to be shown on UCB.

2006 - 2014

Director / Owner of Mop Head Design

Created in 2006 with Sarah Richards, Mop Head Design existed to provide high-quality print and web design at a reasonable cost.

2011 - 2014

 Cofounder of Avery Grey Photography

Avery Grey Photography was created to provide great quality photography for weddings and special occasions for any budget.

2012 - 2014

Web Designer / Developer at Ink and Water Ltd

Having left my previous work as Media Director at Hope City Church to pursue freelance work as Mop Head Designs, I also helped establish the brand new Sheffield-based design agency Ink and Water. Starting as a team of three, I was involved in designing and developing bespoke websites for clients from a variety of sectors.

My unique skillset within the team also meant that I also became the filming director, video editor, audio producer, photographer and was involved in graphic design.

2014 - 2020

Creative Director at Hope City Church

Having been involved in the Creative Industry, I returned to Hope City Church to use my skills as a multi-faceted designer to oversee the creative department. As part of the director's role, I oversaw multiple departments including:

  • Graphic design

  • Video production

  • Web development

  • Live event production

  • Music song-writing and production

  • Online marketing

As well as leading the personnel, I was involved in various stages from ideation to delivery.

Part of my job remit, was to tailor personal training and develop individuals with mixed ranges of skills to help increase the capacity of the organisation. That involved training paid staff members, as well as a plethora of volunteers.

The first job in re-joining the organisation was to refresh the brand of the church, its charities and businesses and the various ministers associated - all the while retaining the strength of the wider organisation brand identity. That included directing and producing TV shows for use on TBN, Inspiration TV and UCB, and also the re-brand of the oversight organisation: C3 Church.
